What is collected
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. That is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This site keeps only the daily totals described below. It never copies or stores IP addresses or any other personal information.
Visit counts
Each night, the site copies the previous day’s request totals from Cloudflare into its private code repository. The totals count requests by page or file, response status, country and browser family, plus the bytes served. Requests from known crawlers and tools, such as search engines, AI companies’ bots and command-line scripts, are counted under their own names instead. Full user-agent strings, IP addresses, referring addresses and query strings are not copied. Cloudflare works out each request’s country from its IP address; only the country is kept.
Some of these totals are published on This site’s own data. Views from browsers are shown day by day only as totals for the whole site. Pages and countries are shown for whole calendar months, once each month has ended. A page with fewer than 5 views from browsers in a month is counted under “Other pages”. A country is named only when it had at least 10 page views from browsers on at least 3 different days that month; every other country is counted as “Other”. Crawlers and other automated requests are shown by week. The totals start on 10 October 2026, the day the site launched.
AI agents
AI agents, such as Claude, can also read this site through its MCP server at brentburgess.com/mcp. It
answers each request from what these pages publish, which is also published as one file,
mcp-data.json. What an agent sends is used only to answer that request; it is not
logged or stored. Cloudflare counts these requests with the totals above and, to limit abuse, briefly counts
requests from each IP address.
Cookies and tracking
There are no cookies, no advertising pixels and no session recording. The color theme you pick is stored only in your own browser. The site does not track you across other websites. It does not respond to Do Not Track signals because there is no tracking to turn off.
Changes
If this site starts collecting anything else, such as through a newsletter signup or a booking calendar, this page will be updated first, with a new effective date.
